Men's Soccer Knocked Off By Tusculum
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Tusculum won over host Catawba 3-1 in South Atlantic Conference men’s soccer action on Saturday night at Frock Soccer Complex. The Catawba Indians fall to 1-10-2 overall and 1-6-2 in the SAC. The Pioneers now stand at 2-6-6 and 2-3-4.
Tusculum started the scoring in the 5th minute by Conner Green passing to Edgar Cervantes for the shot. The pair would strike again in the 24th minute with Cervantes receiving another pass from Connor Green to make second goal. The pioneers would receive their last and third goal in the 31st minute with the Indians making a shot into their own goal.
Tusculum came out scoreless in the second half with Catawba making their one and only goal of the game. Tom Singhgolden would pass to Bobby Cardelle in the 88th minute for the goal. Ending the game 3-1 Tusculum.
Catawba held an edge in saves with Joe Gonzalez as their goalkeeper for a total of 5-1. Alejandro would be the goalkeeper for Tusculum with one save.
Catawba returns to action at the Frock Soccer Complex on Wednesday as the Indians host USC Aiken at 7 pm for the last home match of the season.
