Willis named SAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

ROCK HILL, SC – Catawba College’s Ryan Willis was named the SAC Men’s Runner of the Week and Tusculum College’s Amanda Musick was selected as the SAC Women’s Runner of the Week, conference officials announced today. This is the third time Musick has won the award and the first time for Willis. Willis, a 5-7, 125-pound sophomore from Jonesboro, GA (Lovejoy HS) had his best meet of the season winning the Lenoir-Rhyne College Invitational in a time of 27:00. He won by 27 seconds in the 8K race and equaled the fourth fastest time in school history. Musick, a 5-6 junior from Lebanon, VA (Lebanon HS) won her fourth race of the year, leading the Pioneers to their fourth team title of the season, winning at the Lenoir-Rhyne College Invitational. Musick won the 5K race with a time of 19:48.39. She is a two-time All-Conference harrier and has been the top Division II runner in each of her five races this season. The conference's eight-member institution's sports information directors select the 2003 SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week. #####
