Women's Basketball Concludes Regular Season with Win Over Mars Hill
MARS HILL, N.C. -- The Catawba Lady Indians concluded their regular season with an 83-48 win over host Mars Hill on Saturday. Catawba improves to 14-13 overall and 12-8 in the South Atlantic Conference, while Mars Hill falls to 2-26 and 1-19 in the conference.

recorded 17 points for the Lady Indians and Tailia Barnes added 13 points.
The first quarter was a tight battle with Mars Hill leading with 28 seconds remaining. A three-point basket by Webb gave the Lady Indians a one-point edge to finish out the first 10-minute period. Catawba began the second quarter with an 8-0 run to increase their lead to ten. The Lady Indians continued to build on their lead and took a 37-21 lead into the break.
Catawba came back from the half and maintained control of the game. The Lady Indians went into the last 10-minute period with a 30-point advantage before finishing the game with the 35-point win.
The Lady Indians will play the first round of the SAC tournament on Wednesday at Lincoln Memorial at 6 pm. The two teams tied for fourth, but LMU earned the tiebreaker virtue of its win over Carson-Newman. The teams had split during the regular season.
