Donahue's 69 Gives Him Top 10 Finish at King Inv.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Catawba finished in seventh place at the King University Invitational Men’s Golf Tournament. The two-round event concluded Tuesday at the 6,483-yard, par-70 Bristol Country Club.
Catawba bettered its opening 300 with a 295 on Tuesday, but stayed in the seventh spot in the results. North Greenville shot a torrid 272 in the final round to take the team title by eight strokes over Anderson. NGU posted a one-under-par 559 for the tournament.
Catawba freshman Hunter Donahue carded a one-under-par 69 on Tuesday and finished in eighth for the Indians. He had a two-round total of 141. Tanner Bibey was 18th on 146 on Tyler Mulkey 28th with a 512 score. Donahue was fourth in the tournament with eight birdies, while Bibey was third with 25 pars.
Anderson’s Grayson Bell edged three golfers by a single shot for medallist honors. His rounds of 67 and 69 to post a 136 bettered the 137s by Belmont Abbey's Maurizio DeBono, King's Alex Branford and North Greenville’s Evan Lewis.
