Women's Tennis Blanks JC Smith
SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba shut out visiting Johnson C. Smith 7-0 in women’s tennis action on Saturday morning at the Johnson Tennis Center. The Catawba Indians stayed unbeating, moving to 7-0. The Golden Bulls fall to 1-5.
Catawba did not drop a set in posting the win. No. 2 Sophie Hirsch and No. 6 Lauren Laughton did not drop a game in singles, while No. 5 Olivia Wooldridge lost just one game. Those three, along with No. Erisa Onchi, No. 3 Una Pandurevic and No. 4 Carolina Correia, won in both singles and doubles.
Catawba heads to Hilton Head, S.C. for spring break matches next week. The Lady Indians will face Florida Southern on Monday at 8 a.m.
