Bibey Posts Top 10 at SAC Men's Golf Championships
CAMDEN, S.C. -- Catawba finished ninth at the South Atlantic Conference Men’s Golf Championships which was held at the 6,526-yard, par-70 Camden Country Club. The Catawba Indians completed the three rounds with a 918 total.
Tanner Bibey finished eighth for Catawba and was named to the SAC All-Tournament second team. He had a 72 on Tuesday and finished at 217. He had three birdies in his final round. His 10 birdies in the tournament was fourth most. A.J. Boyd had one of eight eagles, which came in round two.
Queens edged Newberry by a single shot to take the team title. Queens shot 288 each day to post an 864 total. Newberry held a three shot lead after two rounds, but fell back after a 292 left the Wolves on an 865 total.
Newberry’s Harry Bolton won the individual medallist honor. He finished at 210 after a 71 on Tuesday and was two shots better than teammate Adrian Villiger, who had a 72 in the final round.
