Women's Golf Sit Second After First Round of Anderson Inv.
ANDERSON, S.C. -- Catawba sits in second place after Monday’s opening round of the Anderson Invitational Women’s Golf Tournament, being held at the 5,863-yard, par-72 Cobb’s Glen Country Club. Catawba posted a 321 on day one and are 14 shots off the lead set by host Anderson.
Anderson put together a team total of 307 on Monday. Limestone is in third, a shot behind Catawba with a 322.
Sandra Brink led Catawba in the first round with a three-over-par 75. She is a shot off the lead held by Anerson’s Kerington Lamb, who posted a 74. Sarah Coltrane is in 15th after her 81. Brink tallied a pair of birdies in her round. Hailey Barajas added one birdie for the Lady Indians.
The tournament will finish with another 18 holes on Tuesday.
