Women's Soccer Scores Three Goals in Win
Hartsville, S.C. -- It was another strong performance from the Catawba women's soccer team (6-2-1, 2-1-1 SAC) as they defeated Coker (1-7, 0-4 SAC) 3-0 this afternoon.
Each goal for the Indians came late in the second half. Courtney Reavis scored the first goal in the 74th minute from an assist by Maddie Capel, and just two minutes later Capel scored off an assist by Carson Shoeppe.
With the game in hand, Catawba scored its final goal in the 83rd minute when Katie Beck scored unassisted to make the score 3-0.
The win improves the team's record to 6-2-1 on the season as they continue their strong season. The Indians out-shot Coker 19-4 on the match, while also earning 14 corner kicks to Coker's zero.
Up next for Catawba is a road match at Lincoln-Memorial on October 12th. Game time is set for 1 pm.
