Men's Golf Sixth After Day One of State Farm Intercollegiate
TAZWELL, Tenn. -- Catawba is in a tie for sixth after two rounds of the State Farm Intercollegiate Men’s Golf Tournament, The tournament began on Monday at the 6,746-yard, par-70 Woodlake Golf Club.
Tanner Bibey leads the Catawba Indians and is in 15th place with a 147. He came back from an opening 77 with a two-under-par 70 in round two. Freshman Riley Smith is in 22nd, posting rounds of 75 and 73 for a 148 total.
Catawba had rounds of 302 and 295 to sit on 587 after the first two rounds. Lincoln Memorial leads the tournament at 565. Newberry is six shots back in second. Dan Bradbury, of Lincoln Memorial, has a two-shot lead entering Tuesday’s final round. He stands at six-under-par 138 after rounds of 70 and 68. Newberry’s Felipe Garces is two shots back.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with another 18 holes.
