Bibey Posts Top 10 as Men's Golf Goes Sixth at State Farm Intercollegiate
TAZWELL, Tenn. -- Catawba wrapped up a sixth-place finish on Tuesday at the State Farm Intercollegiate Men’s Golf Tournament. The tournament was hosted by Lincoln Memorial at the 6,746-yard, par-70 Woodlake Golf Club.
Tanner Bibey led Catawba as he recorded a top-ten finish after closing on Tuesday with a three-under-par 69. He carded an even-pa 216 for the tournament and was ninth. AJ Boyd shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday and finished 21st on 222.
Catawba posted its second straight 295 round and finished the three-round tournament with an 892 score. Host LMU won the tournament with an 848, besting Newberry by five shots.
Dan Bradbury, of Lincoln Memorial, won medallist honors by two strokes over Ollie Smith, of Queens. Bradbury shot a 69 in the final round to post a nine-under total of 207.
Bibey finished the three rounds with five birdies. He also had an eagle along with Hunter Donahue. Boyd posted four birdies.
The Catawba men will be in action next week at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate at the Mimosa Hills Country Club in Morganton, N.C.
