Anderson, SC -- The Catawba women's soccer team struck a late goal once again to take a 1-0 victory on the road at Anderson University (7-7, 4-5 SAC) on Saturday night. It was an evenly played match throughout as the first half was scoreless for both squads. The majority of the second half was scoreless as well until Katie Beck came through with the game-winning goal in the 70th minute off a penalty kick.

The Indians would win the shots taken battle 11-8 on the game, but could not come through for most the match thanks to the solid goalkeeping by Anderson's Madison Paige who had 4 saves.

The final regular season match of the year for Catawba takes place next Wednesday when the Indians travel to Wingate. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
