Men's Hoops Defeated by Anderson 82-66
Anderson, SC -- Catawba men's basketball (18-9, 13-8 SAC) lost their third straight game Wednesday night as they were defeated by Anderson (17-10, 12-9 SAC) 82-66. Despite the loss, point guard Devin Cooper scored a game high 22 points including going 4-7 from long range.
Anderson was hot from the start as they shot 50% in half number one. Satchel Hester scored 11 points in the half to lead the Trojans. Quin Nottingham scored 9 of his 20 points in the first half. Meanwhile for the Indians, they shot just 38% as a team and 4-11 from behind the arc.
Cooper would score 13 of his points in the first half, but couldn't get much help on the offensive end. Terrence Whitfield scored 5 points in the half off the bench.
Anderson shot 55% in the half number two as they kept their offense rolling throughout. Catawba continued their struggles, shooting 33% and 2-10 from three point land. One bright spot was the bench as they scored 26 points on the night.
This Saturday, the Indians will travel to Lenoir-Rhyne for their final regular season game of the year. Tip off is set for approximately 4:00 pm.
