Dunnick's goal rallies Lacrosse past St. Vincent in opener

SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba senior David Dunnuck (Greensboro, NC) scored with 24 seconds remaining as tbe Indians rallied from a 10-6 deficit with seven fourth quarter goals to defeat visiting Saint Vincent 14-13 in menís lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Shuford Stadium and Kirkland Field. It was the opener for both teams. Catawba trailed 10-6 lead after three quarters, but the Indians stormed back in the final period. The Indians tied the score at 10-10 on a goal by Dunnuck with 9:39 remaining. Matt Riley (Baltimore, MD) put Catawba on top, but the Bearcats answered with two goals to go back up 12-11. Goals by Ryan Blackstone (Wilmington, NC) and Craig Emory (Beltsville, MD) kept the Indians tied to set up the game-winner. Kurt Green led Catawba with four goals and added a pair of assists. He had two of the three Tribe tallied in the first half. Blackstone added three goals, while Jason Windett (Magnollia, DE) had two goals and two assists. Bryan Poole (N. Delta, BC, CANADA) had three goals for the Bearcats, while Ian Poole (N. Delta, BC, CANADA) had two goals and two assists. SCORE BY QUARTER ST.
