Baseball Holds One-Run Lead Over Tusculum in Halted Game at Regional
MOUNT OLIVE, NC -- The NCAA II Southeast Regional game between fifth-seeded Catawba and second-seeded Tusculum was halted after six and half innings due to rain. The Catawba Indians held a 3-2 lead at the time with the Pioneers set to bat in the bottom of the seventh. The game is expected to resume on Friday morning at 10 a.m. at Scarborough Field. The rest of Friday's schedule has been adjusted to try and get four full games in tomorrrow.

Baseball Claims a Spot in NCAA Tournament Field
INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Catawba claimed one of 48 spots for the 2012 NCAA II Baseball Championships as announced by the NCAA on Sunday night. It marks the fifth straight year for the Catawba Indians in the post-season field. The Indians will face conference-foe Tusculum in their first regional game on Thursday afternoon at Mount Olive College.

Softball Announces 2012 Summer Camp Dates
Catawba College has announced several summer softball camp dates for 2012. The camps will be conducted at Whitley Field on the Catawba campus. The all-skills camps will be held from June 18-21 and July 16-19.
McLEAN, VA -- Catawba’s Alli Justice (Bishopville, MD/Decatur HS) has been named to the 2012 Capitol One Academic All-District III Softball Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Justice, a senior first baseman, is now eligible for Academic All-America honors.

McLEAN, VA -- Catawba senior Brett Underwood (Greensboro, NC/SW Guilford HS) has been named to the 2012 Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District Three Baseball Team. Underwood, a shortstop, advances to the Academic All-America Ballot.
