Goalkeeper Coach
Alma Mater: Catawba '93

David Marcincavage has joined the Catawba Women’s Soccer Program as goalkeeper coach in 2015.  He comes to his alma mater from Forbush High School where he had served in the same capacity for the Falcons since 2013.

Marcincavage is a former standout goalie for Catawba.  As a senior in 1992, he earned all-conference and all-region honors, posing a school-record 0.55 goals against average.

For his career, Marcincavage set the goals against average record of 0.63 and the standard with 25 shutouts.  His 10 shutouts in 1991 also still stands as a school record.  Marcincavage played for three conference championships teams and was the starting keeper for both of the Catawba teams that advanced to the NAIA National Tournament.

Marcincavage began his coaching career at Salisbury High School with the Hornets men’s team after graduation.  He also served as a coach with the Yadkin Soccer Association.

A 1993 Catawba graduate, Marcincavage earned a degree in American politics and international relations.  He lives in East Bend, N.C., with his wife, Rebecca, a 1991 Catawba graduate.  They have two daughters, Lauren and Emily.
