(2/8/10) Baseball Takes Two From California,PA; Moore Reaches Base In 11 Of 12 At Bats  SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba swept a baseball doubleheader from visiting California, PA, on Monday at Newman Park. The Catawba Indians took the opener 6-5 and claimed an 11-4 victory in the nightcap. Catawba, ranked 17th in NCAA II, improves to 3-0, while the Vulcans fall to 0-2.
 | (2/4/10) Baseball Grabs Season-Opening Win Over Pfeiffer SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba opened its 2010 baseball season with a 10-6 win over visiting Pfeiffer on Thursday afternoon at Newman Park. Josh Hohn (Greensboro, NC/S. Guilford HS/N. Greenville) hit a three-run homer, while Wade Moore (Salisbury, NC/W. Rowan HS/NC State) and Cameron White (Columbia, SC/Ridge View HS) had clutch two-run doubles in the eighth to lift the Catawba Indians to the win.
| (2/3/10) Baseball Cancels Tournament, Tentatively Set to Host Pfeiffer on Thursday Catawba has canceled the pre-season baseball tournament scheduled for this weekend at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium in Kannapolis. Catawba has tentatively scheduled games with California (PA) for February 8-9 at Catawba. The teams are slated for a doubleheader at 2 p.m. on Monday and a single game on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Catawba and Pfeiffer will look to open the season on Thursday afternoon at Newman Park at 4 p.m.
| (11/13/09) Baseball Announces Kannapolis Tournament Schedule The Kannapolis Intimidators will once again serve as host for the preseason SAC Tournament at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. The tournament has five teams for play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The field includes Catawba, Mars Hill, Tusculum, Stillman and California,PA.
