(9/2/10) Smith's Overtime Goal Lifts Men's Soccer to Season-Opening Win  MISENHEIMER, NC -- Catawba sophomore Carson Smith (Mooresville, NC/Mooresville HS) scored just a minute into the second overtime period to lift the visiting Indians to a 2-1 win over Pfeiffer in men’s soccer action on Thursday afternoon at Lefko Field. It marked the season opener for both squads.

(8/19/10) Men's Soccer Selected Ninth In SAC Preseason Poll  ROCK HILL, SC -- Catawba was picked ninth in the 2010 preseason South Atlantic Conference Men’s Soccer poll. In a vote of the league coaches, Carson-Newman, which won the South Atlantic Conference men's soccer championship the last two seasons, is the choice to repeat and capture the 2010 championship. The Eagles received five first-place votes and 94 total points.

(6/21/10) Men's Soccer Adds 13 Newcomers For 2010 Campaign  SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College men’s soccer coach, Liam Farrell, has announced his 2010 recruiting class for the upcoming 45th season of Catawba Men’s Soccer. The class includes two transfers and 11 true freshmen in the baker’s dozen that will join the Indian program. Committing to Catawba is Keith Cooper (Hickory, NC), Eoin Duffy (Knocknacarra, IRELAND), Terrin Ellis (Fayetteville, NC), Corey Faughnan (Jacksonville, NC), Matt Gallagher (Chapel Hill, NC), Kyle Griewisch (Banner Elk, NC), Evan Harvey (Apex, NC), Jordan Hunsaker (Charlotte, NC), Luke McCarthy (Naples, FL), Domhnall Minogue (Greystones, IRELAND), D.D. Nader (Monroe, NC), Ezra Ntirugelegwa (Durham, NC) and Jorge Sucar (The Woodlands, TX). Nine of the incoming class are from North Carolina.
