Men's Soccer Adds Gillon to Staff as Goalkeeper Coach

SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College has announced the hiring of Josh Gillon as an assistant coach with the men’s soccer program.  Gillon will serve as the Indian goalkeeper coach.  "I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to come to Catawba and be a part of such a storied soccer program,” stated Gillon.  “The chance to come back to this area to join Liam Farrell and the entire athletic department will be a very exciting time in my life."

Men's Soccer Season Ends With SAC Tourney Loss to Top-Seeded Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, TN -- The Catawba men’s soccer team had its season come to an end in the opening round of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament with a 3-1 loss to 15th-rankled Carson-Newman on Tuesday night at McCown Field.  The top-seed Eagles improve to 13-3-1 and advance to a Friday semifinal at Rock Hill, SC.  The Catawba Indians end its campaign at 5-12-1.

Landry's Hat Trick Sends Men's Soccer Into SAC Tournament

BREVARD, NC -- Senior Andrew Landry (Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA/Donevan Institute) scoredall three goals as Catawba claimed a 3-0 win over host Brevard in South Atlantic Conference men’s soccer action on Saturday afternoon at the Brevard Soccer Field.  The win clinches a spot for the Catawba Indians in the upcoming league tournament as they improve to 5-11-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the SAC, snapping seven-match losing streak.  Brevard ends its season at 1-18 and 0-8.

Landry Named to Men's Soccer Academic Team

Catawba senior forward Andrew Landry (Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA/Donevan Institute) has been named to the second team College Division Men’s Soccer Academic All-District 3 Team by ESPN The Magazine.  The Dean’s List student has a 3.49 grade point average while majoring in athletic training and has been named to the SAC Honor Roll three times.
