(7/6/10) BLOG: Study Abroad in Spain by Stephanie Cook '12 (Women's Tennis)Stephanie Cook, fraternal twin and daughter of Wyatt and Sheryl Cook, is a rising junior at Catawba College. The Milton, Georgia native will be spending four weeks taking classes and studying Spanish in Madrid's Ciudad Universitaria through the Forspro study abroad program. She will be accompanied by groups of students from different colleges and universities all across the United States as well as a group of her peers from Catawba.

(6/17/10) Tennis Announces 13 Commitments for 2011-12  SALISBURY, NC -- Catawba College tennis coach, Jeff Childress, has announced 13 commitments for the upcoming 2010-11 season, seven on the women’s side and six for the men. Joining the Catawba women will be Nicole Boyle (Vienna, WV), Taryn Jenkins (Lexington, NC), Hannah Kovach (Salisbury, NC), Olivia Myers (Lexington, NC), Ally Prior (Raleigh, NC), Alex Shandera (Chambersburg, PA) and Leah White (Charlottetown, PE, CANADA). Joining the men’s team are Kevin Budrawich (New Canaan, CT), Marcel Haegele (Fallbach, GERMANY), Pierce Hoover (Durham, NC), T.J. Lane (Lexington, NC), Matthew Nicholson (Chawara, ZIMBABWE) and Jordan Pomrenke (Vienna, WV).

(4/22/10) Women's Tennis Bows Out to Wingate in Tight SAC Tournament Match  ROCK HILL, SC -- Catawba lost to third-seeded Wingate 5-1 in a tight opening round match of the 2010 Food Lion South Atlantic Women’s Tennis Tournament on Thursday morning at the Rock Hill Tennis Center. The Bulldogs improve to 13-6 and advance to face #2-seed Tusculum in a semifinal match. The Catawba Indians, seeded sixth, end their season at 12-15.

(4/21/10) Zielinski Earns All-SAC Honors in Women's Tennis  ROCK HILL, SC -- Catawba junior Kasia Zielinski (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) has earned second team All-South Atlantic Conference honors in women’s tennis. It was announced on Wednesday by the league office. Zielinski played the #1 position for Catawba and helped the Lady Indians qualify for the league tournament.
