Catawba College Men’s Basketball will be hosting an Individual Skills Camp starting on Thursday July 5th and running through Saturday July 7th. The camp will begin at 9:00 am and run until 4:00 pm on both Thursday and Friday then 9:00 am to noon on Saturday.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Chance Bowden capped the 2018 post season baseball awards by claiming second team All-America honors from ABCA/Rawlings. Bowden was a consensus first team All-Southeast Region pick by the ABCA, NCBWA and CoSIDA. He was named the Southeast Region Position Player of the Year by the ABCA and the NCBWA.

Softball: Whitley Retires After Four Decades of Guiding Softball Program Softball http://gocatawbaindians.com/article.asp?articleID=8614

After 36 years as the head coach of the Catawba College Softball Program, Nan Whitley has announced her retirement at the end of the 2018 season. Whitley also was an Assistant Athletic Director and served as the Senior Women’s Administrator. In addition to coaching softball, Whitley was the Head Field Hockey Coach for one season in 1975 then from 1982-2000.

WINGATE, N.C. -- The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced its All-Region teams Wednesday afternoon. In the Southeast Region, Catawba senior first baseman Chance Bowden was named the NCBWA Player of the Year. Georgia College senior Charlie Hecht was named the region’s Pitcher of the Year and North Greenville’s Landon Powell earns Region Coach of the Year honors. Bowden was joined on the region first team by junior designated hitter Heath Mitchem.

AIKEN, S.C. -- USC Aiken knocked off Catawba 6-2 in baseball action on Saturday night at Hernandez Stadium. The Pacers improve to 32-17, while the Catawba Indians end their season at 30-24. The season marks the 19th consecutive year that Catawba has won at least 30 games.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba College has announced its 2017-18 athletic award winners for its student-athletes.  The awards were presented at the annual athletic ceremony held at the Keppel Auditorium on Tuesday, May 1.  Heading the list of award winners were Becky Frost and Kyle Kitchens, who were awarded the Lomax and Kirkland Awards for the top female and male senior athletes who have been in attendance for at least three years. Frost and Josh Beaman, who were given the Wurster Awards for highlighting a team-before-self attitude and leadership.

Baseball: Baseball Falls in 11 Innings in SAC Tournament Final Baseball http://gocatawbaindians.com/article.asp?articleID=8609

KODAK, Tenn. -- Lincoln Memorial scored twice in the top of the 11th to win the Pilot/Flying J South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament Championship with a 9-7 victory over Catawba on Monday at Smokies Stadium. The Railsplitters improve to 36-19 and will advance to the NCAA II Southeast Regional Tournament. The Catawba Indians drop to 30-23 and will end its season on Saturday at USC Aiken at 4 pm.
