SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba College Director of Athletics, Larry Leckonby, has announced the hiring of John Lavender as Head Athletic Trainer. Lavender comes to Catawba after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at Winston-Salem State University since 2012. He worked primarily with the Ram football, men’s basketball and baseball teams while also serving as an instructor.

Joining the Hall of Fame as the Class of 2017 will be Mike Delabar ’02, Adrian Whitley Gantt ’98, Bill Griffin ’71, Danyel Locklear Jolicoeur ’04 and Luke Samples ’05.
