CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Catawba men's basketball team dropped its final game before Christmas, falling 102-89 to host Johnson C. Smith at Brayboy Gym on Saturday afternoon.  Freshman Jerrin Morrison (Charlotte, N.C./E. Mecklenburg HS) scored a game-high 25 points to pace the Catawba Indians, who fall to 5-4.  The Golden Bulls placed six players in double figures in moving to 6-5 on the year.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba College women’s soccer goalkeeper, Bethany Davis (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS), was named by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a member of the 2014 Scholar All-American Third Team. Davis also garnered First Team Scholar All-Region honors as well.

FAIRFAX, Va. -- George Mason shot 67% for the game and downed visiting Catawba 99-69 in men's basketball action on Wednesday night at the Recreation Athletic Complex.  The game was an exhibition game for the Catawba Indians.  The Patriots, of the Atlantic 10, improve to 3-6.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Catawba College women’s soccer goalkeeper, Bethany Davis (Salisbury, Md./Parkside HS), claimed second team All-Southeast Region NSCAA honors as recently announced by the organizations office. The honor marks the second post-season award given to the keeper who had been named as second team all-conference as decided by the coaches of the South Atlantic Conference.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- Bri Johnson (Statesville, N.C./N. Iredell HS/Belmont Abbey) tallied a career-high 23 points and visiting Catawba pulled away over the final seven minutes to post an 84-74 win over Tusculum in South Atlantic Conference women’s basketball action on Monday night at Pioneer Arena.  The Catawba Indians snap a three-game conference skid and improve to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in the SAC.  The Pioneers fall to 2-6 and 2-3.

In just one year, 10-year-old Caleb Stewart of Advance has been drafted by Catawba Indians Baseball, experienced a season on the team, and even acquired a 2014 Conference Tournament Championship ring after his team's winning season.
